MEET RON WAITE
FOUNDER OF GIVE FROM THE HEART
My lifelong career has always been about working for the benefit of
children around the world. After retiring, this passion continued, and I
knew there was more to do.
One day my wife and I were having coffee and discussing the differences
between being a giver or a taker. When and how does one learn the
difference? We are concerned that in our world today our young people
and even some adults never learn the blessings that come from being a
giver and the downfalls of being a taker.
We have heard the saying “The more you give, the more you receive.” This is very true. Givers live longer, are happier, receive more smiles, and gain more friends!
So, we decided to start Give From The Heart to expand our mission of teaching young people the benefits of
being a giver.
Give From The Heart provides the opportunities through worthwhile projects to help others less fortunate.
Giving to others begins with giving your time, often giving or raising money for the basics of food and educational materials in addition to other support.
Our focus is to give a “hand up” and not a “hand out” to those in need.
Our Student Philanthropy Program began with the focus of, working with students in schools to teach them how to go about choosing, planning, and working towards programs that give to back to others in their community .
Our foCus is helping the children of Panama and Costa Rica Latin America
These children desperately need assistance in order to attend school. We provide books, food, clothing, teacher training and various facility needs.
Give From The Heart is helping indigenous families around Oaxaca, Mexico
We provide a temporary “home away from home” through Manos de Ayuda so family members have a place to stay overnight while their child is admitted to the local hospital for treatment.
Giving back is a lifetime effort that can
spread around the world!
